Aizat Aidarbayev

Aizat Aidarbayeva graduated from the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in Kazakhstan with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Tourism in 2017. She presently is working on her Master’s degree in Tourism Administration from the GW School of Business.

Akbota Abdrakhman

Akbota Abdrakhman is seeking her Master of Tourism Administration degree from the GW School  of Business. She received her  Bachelor of Arts degree in Tourism and Services from the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in Almaty, Kazakhstan in 2017.

Almarar, Ahmed Salem Ahmed Blaid

Ahmed hails from the United Arab Emirates. He got his Bachelor of Science degree from the George Mason University with a major in Civil Engineering and presently is pursuing his Master of Science degree in Engineering Management at GW.

Jessica Aubrey

Jessica Aubrey is teaching at the Frederick Community College while pursuing her Masters of Arts degree in Environmental Resources Policy in the Trachtenberg School at GW. She previously graduated from Shepherd university with a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Studies in 2020.

Jane Barkholz

Jane Barkholz presently is pursuing her Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Studies at GW. She was a member of the GW delegation attending the 2021 UNFCCC Climate Change Conference of Parties in Glasgow.

Neel Bhagwat

Neel Bhagwat currently is pursuing his Master of Science Degree in Data Analytics at GW. Neel previously graduated from GW with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science in 2021.

Cameron Bordinat

Cameron Bordinat received his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and Mathematics from Graceland University in 2014. He presently is pursuing his Master of Science degree with a major in Green Chemistry from the Columbian College of Arts and Sciences at GW.

Anthony Cafasso

Anthony Cafasso is a graduate of Villanova University, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering in 2019. Anthony currently is pursuing a Graduate Certificate in the EEM concentration of EMSE.

Olivia Cantrell

Olivia Cantrell is working for Langan Engineering and Environmental Services while pursuing her Master of Science degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering at GW. She earlier graduated from GW with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering in 2020.

Ji’ying Chen

Ji’ying Chen hails from Chongqing, China. She presently is pursuing her Bachelor of Arts degree on Environmental and Green Chemistry from the Columbian College of Arts & Sciences at GW.

Jose Garcia

Jose Garcia received his Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering from the EPN University in 2017. He presently is pursuing his Master of Science degree in the Data Analytics track of EMSE.

Cameron George

Cameron George works as an Environmental Scientist for GDIT while pursuing his Master of Science degree in Environmental and Green Chemistry at GW. Cameron graduated from Virginia Tech in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Sustainable Biomaterials with minors in Chemistry and Green Engineering.  

 

Grace Gonzalez

Grace Gonzalez graduated from the American University in Washington, D.C. with her Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies in 2020. She presently is pursuing her Master of Arts degree in Environmental Resource Policy from the GW School of  Public Policy and Public Administration.

Mahmudul Hasan

Mahmudul Hasan received his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering at the Bangladesh University of Engineering in 2013. He currently is working on his Doctor of Science degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering at GW.

Erin Hill

Erin Hill is serving as a  Graduate Assistant for Sustainable GW when working on her Master’s degree in the GW Environmental and Natural Resource Policy with a major in Environmental Policy. Previously, Erin graduated from Binghamton University in 2020 with a Bachelor of Arts degree and a double major in Political Science and Environmental Planning with a minor in Geographical Information Systems.

Sara Jimenez

Sara Jimenez received her Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering from the Universidad Industrial de Santander, Colombia, in 2019. She presently is seeking her Master of Science degree in Environmental and Energy Management in the EMSE Department at GW.

Tara McAllister

Tara McAllister is serving as a Teaching Assistant at GW while pursuing her Master of Science degree from the Department of Geography, along with a Graduate Certificate in Geographical Information Systems. She is studying the co-location of solar energy and native vegetation, focusing on dual sustainability outcomes of integrating pollinator-friendly vegetation at solar sites. Tara received her Bachelor of Science degree in Geography and Environmental Studies from GW in 2019.

Iryna Payosova

Iryna Payosova

Iryna Payosova received her Bachelor’s degree with a double major in Biology and Economics from the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy in Kyiv, Ukraine, where she graduated in 2000. She also received a Master of Science degree on Environmental Science and Policy from the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy in 2002. In addition, Iryna holds a Master’s degree in Agricultural and Resource Economics from the University of Arizona, which she received in 2009. Iryna is currently pursuing her Ph.D. degree in Environmental and Energy Management at GW.

Jay Pittman

Jay Pittman is a graduate from the University of Washington, where she received her Bachelor of Science degree with a double major in Chemistry and Environmental Sciences in 2013. She is pursuing her Master’s degree in Environmental and Green Chemistry from the Columbian College of Arts and Science.

Alyssa Pitysingh

Alyssa Pitysingh is pursuing her Ph.D. degree in Environmental and Energy Management at GW. She previously graduated from GW with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 201 and a Master of Science degree in Engineering from GW.

 

Neha Rumanna

Neha Rumanna currently is pursuing her Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering at GW. Neha also works as an Engineering Aide for OHM Advisors.

Krupa Sharma is pursuing his Bachelor of Science degree in the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department at GW.

Benjamin Staub

Benjamin Staub works for the International Monetary Fund. He is working on his Master of Arts degree in Environmental Science and Technology Policy in the Elliott School of International Affairs at GW. He got his undergraduate degree at Northern Illinois University, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2017.

Naomia Suggs-Brigety

Naomia Suggs-Brigety is pursuing her Master of Arts degree in the Elliott School of International Affairs while working as a Senior Advisor on the Committee of Foreign Affairs of the U.S. House of Representatives. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Jackson State University in 2014.

Kirsten Turner

Kirsten Turner presently is seeking her Master of Science degree in Environmental and Green Chemistry. She graduated from Loyola University of New Orleans, where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Forensic Chemistry in 2021.

Caroline Van Hook

Caroline Van Hook graduated from Ohio University in 2021 with an undergraduate degree in  Geography. She presently is pursuing her Master of Arts degree in Geography at GW.

Bridget Weimer

Bridget Weimer got her Bachelor of Science degree from COFC with a major in Exercise Science in 2018. She presently is working on her Master of Public Health degree with a major in Environmental Health Science at GW.

Finley Wetmore

Finley Wetmore is a Market Systems Consultant supporting development agencies, primarily USAID. She graduated from GW in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Systems Engineering and presently is pursuing her Master of Science degree in Crisis and Energy Management at GW. Finley plans to move to East Africa after graduation. 

 

Zhe Zhou

Zhe Zhou received her Master of Science degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from GW in 2019.  Presently, Zhe is pursuing her Ph.D. degree, with a focus on drinking water quality, at GW.

Huajie Zhu

Huajie Zhu hails from China. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Arizona  with a major in Systems Engineering in 2021. Huajie currently is pursuing his Master of Science degree in Systems Engineering at GW.
