Environmental & Energy Management Institute

The EEMI has achieved notable success in assembling a blue-ribbon group of individuals to serve on the EEMI Advisory Board. These individuals include a former Chairman of the U.S. Council on Environmental Quality, three former Assistant Administrators and one former acting Administrator of the US EPA, a former Director of the OMB Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs, and a number of additional bipartisan public service, private sector and nongovernmental organizational luminaries.

The EEMI is co-directed by Prof. Joe Cascio and Prof. Jonathan Deason.  Prof. Cascio is a former White House Federal Environmental Executive and long-term Chairman of the U.S. delegation to the ISO 14000 development process.  Prof. Deason is the Lead Professor for the Environmental and Energy Management Program, Department of Systems Engineering and Engineering Management, School of Engineering and Applied Science. He’s had distinguished positions in government and in industry and served a 30-year Reserve career with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, where he served as the Corps' Chief of Staff for the final six years of that career.

Many national and international graduates of the Environmental and Energy Management Program have achieved marked success in distinguished positions of responsibility in both the private and public domains.
